Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame Museum
I visited the Sports Hall of Fame for the first time in Jackson Mississippi about two months ago with my family. The exhibit houses sport hall of famers from high school sports to professional athletes across the nation that originated from Mississippi. Each year a coach is elected as, Coach of The Year, their photos are also placed in the museum. While in high school I participated in many sports while achieving honors in track and field and power lifting. Each year the schools in each division of athletics compete for the state championship title. The winning team has the honor of having their picture taken immediately after the state meet and enlarged to be placed on the wall in the museum for exhibition. I never imagined my picture being placed in such a place. My teammates and I captured the state title two consecutive years. This was the first in school history any team had this type of accomplishment.
